My Xbox got stolen

At the weekend I was staying with my dad and grandad and
I brought my Xbox with me when It got later and everyone
Was asleep someone broke in and took my Xbox and my dads
Work laptop. So now the police are trying to track the Xbox and laptop down
Luckily they won't be able to get On my account cause Microsoft managed to change the setting
On my Xbox so it's not auto sign. My mum also said if they haven't found it in a week or so she's just gonna buy me a new one.

If any of your stuff has been stolen before can you tell me how
You dealt with the situation

Well, I've never had anything stolen before, but I know that police usually ask for serial numbers and things like that to see if they found the right one if they find an Xbox in a suspect's house. If you don't have that, you just have to hope for the best.

But for your dads work laptop, the company he works for should be able to track it down pretty easily.
